![]() This is what the two columns that I haven't explained yet are for - "group" and "level". In normal you just look up directly the TC and off you go, but in NM and Hell we have "TC upgrades". That's step 1 :) Next, back to TreasureClassEx.txt we go. It’s basically how the game handles assigning better TCs to guest monsters in Act 5 and uniques/minions/champs, for example. ![]() The group number is listed in TreasureClassEx.txt. If you picked any other random Alvl 81 area in the game and made it Alvl 85, it’s likely that the monsters there would drop as well as the standard Alvl 85 areas, but you have to check the TC groups to make sure. If you were to change the cow level to Alvl 85, they would increase to mlvl 85, but they would receive no TC upgrade since they are the only TC in their group. They can drop from TC87, but very rarely. They are in an Alvl 81 area, thus are mlvl 81. Look at something like a hell bovine for a solid exception to the rule. That’s not how the game actually works, but it’s not a terrible simplification. (My understanding is that the Alvl determines what TC an item can drop from except for superuniques and bosses)
